—Game Description
The Desert Eagle is a handgun in Dead Trigger 2.
Overview
The Desert Eagle is the last pistol to be unlocked. It requires Tech level 5 to reveal the blueprint and Gunsmith level 7 to be built.
Summary
The Desert Eagle is one of the strongest handguns in the game. It deals 1,056 damage towards Zombies, being an instant kill at early levels, essentially. It has 7 rounds in its magazine, with an additional 21 rounds in reserve. Like the Crossbow, the Desert Eagle has gold camouflage - this is not known to affect its damage, and appears to be purely cosmetic. Red markers surround the iron sights, and it has a black magazine when reloading.
At early levels the Desert Eagle kills will one hit even at long distances, though the farther the distance, the greater the necessity of a headshot to kill the Zombie.
There are both advantages and downsides about using this weapon against Special Zombies. The main advantage is its high damage, capable
of taking out weaker Specials, like Vomitron or Scienfist on less than a full magazine on early levels, especially when aiming at head. It's also very effective when shooting the Rager's weakness on its back, at early levels, 4-5 rounds are enough. It's less effective against Panzer, as it takes a large of ammo to make it turn its back to you back and reveal its weak point. However, it's possible to make the Panzer turn its back by using some other weapon, then quickly switch to Desert Eagle and shoot it in the back, same as with Rager, it doesn't take many bullets to kill it. However, one big disadvantage about using this weapon against Special Zombies is its relatively slow rate of fire, small magazine and low ammo capacity, especially if there are more regular Zombies around the Special that need to be taken out as well. However, when there's just a single Special, this weapon might be useful, but it depends on each individual player and which weapons and tactics they choose.
Overall, the Desert Eagle is as powerful as a "primary" weapon, but should be used as a secondary because of its low magazine size and starting ammunition. It is not recommended to use on special zombies, however, it can be effective in certain cases.

Trivia
- This is the second golden weapon, the other being the Crossbow.
- The in-game iron sights are more similar to those of a Glock pistol. The real iron sights on a Desert Eagle look like this.
